Our Story
Moort Bunji is an Australian Indigenous-owned and operated business. The name Moort Bunji translates to “family and friends” in Noongar, symbolising kinship, community, and connection.
Under the leadership of John Lawrence, a proud Noongar man born and raised in Northam on Ballardong Noongar Boodja, Moort Bunji provides a variety of services in the construction industry across Perth and regional Western Australia. John has partnered with Darryn van Wyk, an experienced industry professional who has successfully run businesses in the construction and mining sector from a young age.
Together, they combine cultural heritage and proven industry expertise to create a business that delivers high-quality projects while generating sustainable employment and business opportunities for Indigenous people. As a Supply Nation registered business, Moort Bunji connects Indigenous business owners with the broader Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, emphasising respect, collaboration, and mutual prosperity across the industries we serve.
